We are a family of six that loves to get out there and enjoy the outdoors. Our family consists of two bloggers (Jay & Kay), as well as our 3 kids (who live with us on and off again throughout the year), and our bullmastiff puppy, Anubis. We have noticed how difficult it is to find detailed review of places to camp, hike, and fish. While we are not experts at any of the above, we certainly enjoy the to the fullest extent of our physical capabilities. We hope you'll use our blog to help plan where you and your family would like to explore the outdoors next, as well as just share in our adventures and love of the wilderness!

Lathrop State park has 103 campsites to choose from. Two Large lakes for water recreation/sports. Some sites have electric hookups. There are central water pumps, but no individual water hookups. Most sites are limited on shade, but almost all do have vegetation of some sort. There is a golf course on site, although we have never used it. This is a good campground for beginner campers or RV-ers. Lots of stuff for kids to do. Reservations reccomended, especially on weekends.

**UPDATE**
The Lakes are both open and there are fish to be caught!
